My name is Ruth Kueny and I live in Atco, NJ with my 3 children. I retired after 26 years of working in the field of Human Resources. Burned out by the long hours and long travel, I began searching for something more meaningful but I did not know what, until yoga. I found my yoga practice as a means to cope with stress and health concerns. It was the “me” time I never had. Yoga has become a lifeline for me. I have found strength, confidence, peace and gratitude. I received my 200-hr YTT certification at The Yoga Shift. For me, yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion, and releasing. So, my classes combine both strength and mobility work in a dynamic, Power Flow style that students of all levels can easily modify. Combine this sweaty high intensity fast-paced flow with soothing restorative poses to help present the balance that closely mirrors our lives. I ground my students in an ongoing awareness of breath while guiding them through poses with proper alignment cuing, modelling, and hands-on adjustments. Expect to move, sweat, and breathe! I am excited to share my passion with my students so they might be able to experience their own shift, their own transformation, whether it is on or off the mat.
Off the mat, you will find me enjoying life with my family at home or at the beach.
